TikTok Counter

About TikTok Counter

A small, independent set of tools for reading the statistics TikTok already publishes — built for people who need the exact number, not the rounded one in the app.

What this site is

TikTok Counter is a free web tool that reports exact follower counts, total likes, video counts and average engagement for public TikTok accounts. It also includes a viewer for recent videos, an engagement rate calculator you can run with your own numbers, and an earnings calculator that puts a range around Creator Rewards and brand deals.

There is no account to create, nothing to install and no paid tier. Open a page, enter a username or a link, read the result.

Who runs it

The site is built and operated by an independent developer based in Guangzhou, China. It is a one-person project, not a media company, agency or analytics vendor. There is no team behind the numbers, no investor and no data broker arrangement — which is also why the site does not ask you to sign up for anything.

The site is funded by display advertising, which is why you may see ads alongside the tools. Advertising has no influence on what the tools report: the numbers come from TikTok's own public pages and are displayed as served, including when they are unflattering to a large account.

How the numbers are obtained

Every public TikTok profile page ships a small block of statistics inside its HTML. When you submit a username, our server requests that public page once, reads the follower, like and video counts out of it, and returns them to your browser. The same applies to a single video: its public counters are read from the page TikTok serves.

  • No login, ever. The tools never use an account, a password, a session cookie or a private API. If a profile is private, its statistics are not published and therefore cannot be read.
  • No scraping of people. Nothing is collected about viewers beyond ordinary server logs. See the privacy policy for exactly what is stored and for how long.
  • Results are cached for five minutes. Repeated lookups are served from that cache, which keeps the tools fast and avoids sending identical requests to TikTok over and over. A follow that happened seconds ago may therefore take a moment to appear.
  • Snapshots are stored to draw the trend line. TikTok only reports the current total, never history, so a timestamped snapshot is saved each time an account is checked. That is the only way a follower trend can exist at all.

What this site does not do

This matters more than the feature list, so it is stated plainly:

  • No downloads. The site does not host, convert, rip, re-encode or distribute TikTok videos, audio, thumbnails or any other copyrighted media. There is no download button, no download endpoint and no plan to add one.
  • No private data. Private accounts, direct messages, email addresses, phone numbers and login credentials are out of scope by design.
  • No sale of data. Lookup queries are not packaged, resold or shared with data brokers, and there is no API for bulk access.
  • No guarantees. The tools report what TikTok publishes. If TikTok changes its markup or throttles a request, a lookup can fail or lag, and the interface says so rather than inventing a number.

Accuracy, corrections and feedback

Statistics are shown exactly as TikTok serves them, without smoothing or estimation. The two calculators are different: the engagement rate uses the figures you type in, and the earnings calculator is explicitly a range built from published creator-fund rates and sponsorship benchmarks — never a promise of income.

If a page shows something that looks wrong, a screenshot and the URL are enough to investigate. Write to [email protected]; corrections to explanatory text are usually made within a few days.
